Oris has launched a bronze version of its iconic Big Crown analog date watch. The watch uses a 36mm bronze case that changes over time. The retro size is new.
The new Oris Big Crown analog date bronze continues the brand’s legendary flight story and is designed for a new generation of forward-looking, stylish mechanical watches. ORIS designers have redesigned the case to be thinner, more streamlined and more seamless, making its elegant clothes close to the wrist. The new watch uses modern curved sapphire crystal glass, which not only enhances the retro beauty of the watch, but also gives it the latest feel. The bronze material will react with the moisture in the air and the pH of the wearer’s skin over time to form patina. Because of this, over time, all watches will become different, and watches will be as unique as their owners.
In addition to the unique 36mm bronze case, the light green dial of the new watch is inspired by the colored keyboard in Le Corbusier’s book, the godfather of modern architecture. The watch presents an avant-garde metropolitan feel and better matching. Like ORIS’s purely mechanical watch concept, the Big Crown analog date bronze watch is driven by a Swiss-made automatic movement. This watch features rose gold-plated hour and minute hands, a central seconds hand and a date hand that points to the date circle around the dial. Paired with a natural tanned light brown leather strap, it shows a graceful and confident look.
