Tasting Lange 2013 German High Precision Watch

Lange’s New German Precision Watch Awards 2013
   1815 Rattrapante Perpetual Calendar

Lange 1815 Rattrapante Perpetual Calendar combines the fascinating technology of the double-tracing chronograph stopwatch and the precise characteristics of the perpetual calendar. Equipped with the eighth chronograph movement L101.1 developed by Lange, the watch once again embodies Lange’s skills in the field of precision watchmaking. At first glance, the dial layout is well-organized, and if you look closely, you will find many complicated devices, including a double-tracing chronograph stopwatch, perpetual calendar, moon phase display and power reserve indicator. The Arabic numerals, track minute scales, gold and blue steel hands on the watch, and four small round dials in a four-leaf layout are all features of the 1815 Rattrapante Perpetual Calendar, which is also rooted in the large Lange The essence of design unique to the traditional 1815 series of pocket watches. The platinum or rose gold case with a diameter of 41.9 mm is a perfect example of this watch’s masterpiece.
1815 Up / Down

The 1815 watch produced by Lange is a low-profile masterpiece at the pinnacle of watchmaking. Today, the new 1815 Up / Down watch movement is equipped with a power reserve of up to three days, and a blue steel hand is added at 8 o’clock, showing the time remaining before the watch needs to be wound again. AUF and AB represent the state where the mainspring is fully wound and fully released, respectively. This patented device dates back to 1879 and is one of Lange’s watchmaking traditions. The 1815 Up / Down case and pin buckle are made of 18K yellow, white, or rose gold, and all models feature a silver-white solid silver dial. Black digital time scales and blued-steel hands make the reading clear. The 1815 Up / Down is also equipped with track minute scales, Arabic numerals, and small dials arranged symmetrically to show the power reserve and running seconds, respectively. These elements reflect the design style of Lange’s famous pocket watches and are integrated into the watches in a modern way.
Grand Lange 1 Lumen

朗 When Lange first introduced the big calendar display, it was not only praised, but also brought a new wave of fashion trends, and set off a wave of brands vying to follow suit. The large calendar with the distinctive style of the asymmetrical dial makes the Lange 1 an undisputed masterpiece. The complex devices that make up this famous big calendar display format are usually hidden under a solid silver dial, and now Grand Lange 1 Lumen will show you this mysterious world generously. This platinum case watch is limited to 200 pieces, fully reflecting the characteristics shown in the name: some dials are made of translucent sapphire crystal, only the outer ring, hour display, minute display and small seconds dial are made of black silver. The sapphire crystal part reveals the first large calendar display dial device that shines in the dark. In addition, time and power reserve are also legible in the dark, making Grand Lange 1 Lumen attractive from every angle.
Grand Lange 1

Grand Lange 1, which debuted last year, shines on the table with its slender and beautiful lines and a newly created movement. At the time of making this watch, Lange’s R & D personnel successfully retained the 72-hour power reserve of the LANGE 1 and equipped it with a more sophisticated single barrel. The unique dial layout of the LANGE 1 was also scaled to this larger model. The new Grand Lange 1 is equipped with a white gold case and a black dial. The luminous hands and inset scales made of gold-plated rhodium allow its owners to clearly read the time and power reserve indications in the dark environment.
Saxonia Annual Calendar

三年 Since three years before, the well-designed Saxonia Annual Calendar has set a new benchmark for calendar watches. In addition to the rose gold and white gold models, this performance launched a platinum style, which also highlights the elegant and quiet of this watch masterpiece. In addition to the time, the silver dial of the Saxonia Annual Calendar is also equipped with the date, month, week and moon phase display. The precise mechanical structure ensures that the watch accurately displays the month with 30 or 31 days throughout the year. If the watch is stopped for a long time, the calendar and moon phase display can be updated immediately through different buttons, which is convenient and quick. In addition to the combination of the annual calendar and the Lange large calendar display, the Saxonia Annual Calendar is also equipped with an extremely accurate moon phase display, which requires only one day of error correction every 122 years.
Saxonia Automatic

Precision mechanical watches are no longer just appealing to men, women are increasingly demanding sophisticated internal worlds. Lange watches, known for their state-of-the-art craftsmanship and distinctive style, also fascinate women, just like the newly launched Saxonia Automatic diamond style. Lange designed this women’s watch to combine cutting-edge technology, exquisite craftsmanship and detached design. Like other refined and elegant Saxonia watches, the Saxonia Automatic is both classic and contemporary. Clearly laid solid silver dial with bezel set with 76 round diamonds. Both elements are elegantly combined with a white or rose gold case. The Saxonia Automatic has a precise and harmonious visual proportion. The movement is only 3.7 mm thick. It is the thinnest automatic winding movement ever created by the Saxon watchmaker. The outstanding quality of this movement can never live up to the wrist. The table has a beautiful appearance.

Classic Touring Rolex Date Lapis Lazuli Watch

When it comes to Rolex, the dial is very important. Imagine the Stella dial of the day calendar type, the Paul Newman dial of Daytona, and the submariner dial full of subtle differences. As far as the log type is concerned, it seems that no dial has won a loud reputation, but lapis lazuli is an exception.

Hard rock dials are always interesting because they are not easy to produce. In fact, they are born from a larger gem. Apart from cutting, the first challenge is to find a rough with sufficient size and high quality. For a long time, one of the main places to look for high-quality lapis lazuli was Iran. But after the collapse of the Shah regime, this is no longer an option. Fortunately, other sources such as South America and Siberia can provide lapis lazuli of comparable quality.

In some cases, traces of gold can be seen in lapis lazuli, but this log-type dial does not seem to be there. The presence of gold can add an extra dimension to the lapis lazuli dial, if not, it would be harmless. Rolex lapis lazuli dials are commonly found in gold date-of-day watches or gold day-of-the-week watches, and are often accompanied by diamond hour-markers. This watch has a white gold case that contrasts with the vibrant lapis lazuli dial.

In 2016, this watch was auctioned by Félis and sold for 33,750 Swiss francs, which is higher than the median estimate (20,000 to 40,000 Swiss francs) before the auction. In 1945, in order to celebrate the brand’s 40th anniversary, Rolex designed a series of exquisite timepieces. The log watch is one of the most beautiful examples. Although the price of antique diary watches has not increased as much as other models in recent years, these unique timepieces undoubtedly provide a useful complement to discerning Rolex collectors.
